theboatmill.com is a free, independent website that offers boating and marine calculators. You can use the pages without an account. By using the site you agree to these terms; if you do not agree, please do not use it.
Every calculator returns a planning estimate from the numbers you enter and the formula shown on the page. Several tools touch navigation, anchoring, rigging, trailering, fuel, and boat electrical systems. The results are not for navigation and are not a substitute for official charts, tide and current tables, weather forecasts, the manufacturer’s manual, a marine surveyor, a qualified marine technician, or good seamanship. The skipper remains responsible for the vessel and crew.
The formulas and worked examples are checked, but mistakes are possible and real-world conditions vary. The site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Check important results by hand and against the manufacturer’s data before you buy materials or act on them. If you find an error, please report it through the Contact page.
